Policies and Procedures
of the
Tampa Bay Business Builders

TBBB is an organization of professionals whose purpose is to promote and improve the business of its members.

TBBB is strictly for business and will not become a forum for political or religious platforms.

TBBB will not discriminate in their Membership because of race, creed, sex, age, or nation of origin.

Participation is of paramount importance and excessive absenteeism, or any other indication of lack of interest may result in the loss of Membership. Members may assign one (1) or more alternates to attend meetings to prevent non-representation. The alternates are encouraged to attend with the member when possible.

The Membership list or Directory is the sole property of TBBB. The use or sale of same is strictly prohibited without consent of TBBB.

Members will not make any representations about TBBB other than those provided in their information package.

TBBB will have only one representative company for each business category and the categories will be determined by TBBB. Categories must not conflict with existing Members' products or services categories.

All referrals must be handled in a timely, ethical and professional manner.

Meetings will be held on a weekly basis (except holidays). All meetings will be exclusive to members and invited guests. The entire agenda will be devoted strictly to networking.

In order to protect the confidentiality of our members and their clients, all referrals will be on a one-to-one basis unless otherwise specified by the referring member (see default #4).

Members are encouraged to invite guests. A guest may attend only two (2) meetings.

As a Member of TBBB, I promise to abide by the following Code of Ethics:

I will uphold the highest level of professionalism.
I will operate our business with truth and integrity.
I will keep our customers' needs foremost.
I will advise our customers accurately, truthfully and honestly.
I will promptly respond to all referrals.
I will cooperate in a good business spirit with fellow TBBB members.
I will place principle before personalities.

DEFAULT

The following events constitute a default hereunder:

1) Failure to keep all fees and dues current.
2) Failure to comply with all policies and procedures as written.
3) Unethical conduct that would have an adverse effect on either TBBB or any of its members.
4) Any breach of confidentiality.

5) Failure to attend meetings regularly.

In the event of said default, TBBB shall notify Member. Upon Member's failure to cure default, Member shall be deemed to be in default of this Agreement and TBBB shall have the right to terminate this Agreement and retain all monies collected hereunder from Member as liquidated damages.

Acceptance of an applicant for Membership shall be subject to the approval of the Executive Committee of TBBB.

New Members shall serve as a probationary member for a period of three (3) months after which their retention as a regular Member shall be subject to the approval of the Executive Committee of TBBB.

Rev. January 1997

Great Return on Investment!  The dollar amount of business transacted at each meeting is incalculable ... but phenomenal.
