We welcome new members to Tampa Bay Business Builders! Each business category is filled on a non-compete basis.

Unlike a leads club, TBBB members focus on knowing exactly what each member is looking for in a qualified referral.

Our primary goal is seeking out business connections for each other. No one is compelled to bring a lead to a meeting. TBBB members strive to eliminate cold calling through qualified referrals.

When referring TBBB members to your customers, you know your reputation is on the line both with your fellow TBBB member and with your customer--that's why referrals among members are so strong and carefully qualified. We use connections of each member's contacts with many other business people and tie TBBB members into this data base. One-on-one personal contact frequently results in a referral for another member. You know that these referrals are good business prospects because other TBBB members work with them.

You share in vital information about the Tampa business community through the investment you make in TBBB. Where else can you get 52 weeks of quality advertising for a one hour investment of your time each week?

TBBB exists to exchange information, to improve productivity, and to share resources. You get out of it what you are willing to put into it. You are in a family of business friends. Friends help friends and friends also do business with other friends.

TBBB holds memberships in these organizations:

TBBB participates in several exhibitions and business related activities each year. Every member's name and business information is on every TBBB brochure. We enjoy discounted group rates for seminars and other business presentations. Your business gains with every exposure! Your business acumen increases dramatically with the knowledge you gain from every meeting and activity of the TBBB.

TBBB is an information center. If you need a product or service that is not represented in TBBB, call someone from TBBB. Usually, we can refer you to a reputable business owner. Remember, we are a large family of professional and ethical business friends who strive to help each other.

How do you join TBBB?

Attend two meetings as a guest (the meetings need not be consecutive). Confirm with the directors that your business category does not compete with another member. Review the TBBB Policies and Procedures, TBBB Bylaws and our Code of Ethics.

Print out the Membership Application, fill it out, and bring it to your third meeting along with your check for $50, payable to TBBB. (It costs $50 to join; dues are $25 quarterly thereafter.) Bring information and print materials to be used for developing your member page of the TBBB Website.
