About the
Tampa Bay Business Builders

We are Tampa's Premier Referral Group. Tampa Bay Business Builders was established in 1991. Many charter members play an active role today. Members of TBBB strive to bring qualified referrals to each other.

We abide by a Code of Ethics that strengthens our business relationships and gives our customers confidence in our referrals.

Our geographic reach covers the West of Coast of central Florida from Apollo Beach in the south to Lutz in the north. Member businesses operate in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties.

TBBB meets each Tuesday.  Click here for location.  Meetings start at 11:45 sharp and end at 1:15. At every meeting, we have a ten-minute presentation by one of our members.

Attendance is of paramount importance! You can't reciprocate if you aren't present. TBBB members often do business with one another, but our real focus is knowing exactly what each member is looking for in a qualified referral. We seek out the connections for each other.

We're actively recruiting new members!

Membership in TBBB is on a non-compete basis. Realistically speaking, we look for ways to be inclusive -- there are a lot of business opportunities in the Tampa Bay area, and we know there's strength in numbers! We determine if a prospective member represents direct competition to a TBBB member by asking members. The final decision is determined by the member whose business interests may be in conflict with those of a candidate member, and that decision usually is accepted by the Board of Directors.

While it may seem that some TBBB members offer competing services or products, we try to find ways to avoid conflict and competition -- sometimes we just don't advertise all of a member's business services or products within TBBB to avoid competing with another member.

We also have potential members who ask to be put on a "Waiting List" to be called if a category becomes available. We do that, too! Most often, a category opens up when a TBBB member's business demands make it impossible for the member to attend meetings regularly. Many of these members rejoin the group when the press of business allows them to schedule our Tuesday meetings once again. And yes, returning members sometimes have to wait for their category to open again!

TBBB holds memberships in these organizations:

The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce
The Greater Brandon
Chamber of Commerce

Our organizational memberships allow the group to participate in many local expositions, business socials, and special networking events. TBBB participates in several exhibitions and business related activities each year.

Lorne Hunsburger Qualified referrals are pure gold to a small business! A few good new customers every year can spell success. The return on investment in terms of time and money for TBBB members is simply remarkable!
